The CannonSFDS was developed after I had had less than (what I considered) satisfactory results from experimenting with hydrogen generators. While the system is simple is does require redesigning the fuel system as well as some added electronics. The total cost at the point of manufacture on new cars would be minimal. Retrofitting an existing car would probably cost in the $500 range, depending on the car. I believe this system will significantly increase the mileage of all fuel injected automobiles.

The car that most of the testing has been done on is a 1996 Toyota Camry 2.2L. The car had over 180,000 miles when the device was first installed and now has in excess of 206,000 miles. During that time the mileage has been consistently above 45 mpg highway, with the highest recorded mileage being in excess of 50mpg. The CannonSFDS does not seem to damage or be detrimental to the car in any way.

Most people assume that I am running the car extremely lean in order to achieve the increase in mileage. This is not the case.

While testing is continuing on gasoline, we are also testing on diesels and expect to post some results soon. We have every expectation of increasing the fuel mileage on all diesel engines as well.
